While I have multiple fan boy flirtations with gifted spandex-wearing vigilantes, there is only one super heroine, who will always dominate my fan-fiction fantasies and that imaginary woman is Jean Grey aka Phoenix. Jean appeared for the very first time in September 1963 and has stayed ever so relevant and exciting for more than four decades. We have seen her as a friend and as a foe, as a human and as an entity, as a woman and as a teenager. She is included in more than forty different alternative Earths and in as many roles. She has died and was reborn time and time again and she is still persistent in popular culture, where she has conquered animated series, video games, trading card games and even the big screen. For me personally apart from being the girl-next-door type of women and generally nice and kind in comparison to other Marvel heroines, I fell in love, because she is gifted beyond imagination with telekinesis and I seem to have a fetish for that super power. I remember numerous instances, when that power would be more than useful. Geek reveries is over with, so now enjoy:

Ahhh, I've always loved Jean Grey.
It's hard not to. Seriously.
Nice picks. :) Jean Grey is very cool but I always preferred Rogue in the main Xmen chicks category.
Jean Grey/Phoenix has always been one of my favorite Marvel characters. She represents female empowerment--and the art depicting her is always great. I love the top pic you posted of her; what is the source for that one?
@ Hagel: I love Rogue too. She is on second spot in my list of super awesome comic book heroines.
@ Lisa: I am a huge Deviant Art junkie and this is where I scavenge for images. There are some great and talented artists there, if you are persistent.
I agree Jean Grey is one of those dynamic character you look forward to seeing time and time aain..
